The adaptation’s first page: In the first image, Max pretends to be a wolf with just a belt for a tail. Next, Max is the wolf. The final image overlays both.Third page of the book: Max, a child, playfully howls at the moon from his bedroom. Then, as a whimsical wolf, he howls in his imaginary forest. The final image shows Max in both worlds, where reality subtly shines through his vivid imagination.On this page, Max begins playing with various animals, only to reveal he’s actually playing with his pillow.Max sleeps alone, traversing both the real and imaginary worlds.In the final three pages, the aroma of Max’s dinner interrupts his imaginary world, bringing him back to reality. Colour shifts reflect Max’s changing moods throughout each scene, adding depth and emotion to the narrative.The text serves as a visual protagonist, enhancing the story’s meaning and infusing it with playful energy.In the entire process, I seamlessly transition between traditional and digital art, employing diverse techniques and software tools like coloured pencils, art pens, Blender, Procreate, Photoshop, and InDesign.
